- The Evolver node can only upgrade or develop one program at a time. When the node is upgrading, it cannot develop or upgrade new programs, and vice versa.
- In early levels, the Evolver can be a very efficient choke point, as it is the node with the lowest firewall in the game early on. It can be easily recaptured very quickly with 2 Turrets with antivirus, and attackers will be forced to react quickly and install ICE Walls repeatedly, and only 2 offensive programs, since the Evolver only has 3 slots.
- Upgrading your Nodes and Programs also increases your experience bar.
- Program development is subject to a hierarchy tree. When two branches converge, both paths must be completed to unlock the next program. For instance, one must develop both Blaster and Worms before they may develop the Battering Ram.
